Man claims he is CIA and immune from speeding fine

“Police in northeast Tennessee say Scott Gibson isn’t the deputy director of the CIA – and he’d have to pay his $75 speeding fine even if he were.”

It happens to us all sooner or later in life… seeing those blue lights flashing behind you.  Your heart begins to race and you get that sick to the stomach feeling.    Some people get so nervous or mad that they don’t think straight.  Clearly we have few lessons to learn from this schmuck who wasn’t quite with it when he mailed back his speeding-cam citation with a hand written note claiming he was immune from the fine because he was the deputy chief of the CIA.

Lesson 1:  No matter how mad you are about a ticket or citation, think twice before impersonating a federal law enforcement official.

Lesson 2: $75 is expensive for a ticket, but a lot less expensive than a night in jail and federal charges…

Lesson 3: If you mess with law enforcement you can expect to have the book thrown at you!

Ford: Car owners are pirates if they distribute pictures of their own cars

The folks at BMC (Black Mustang Club) automotive forum wanted to put together a calendar featuring members’ cars, and print it through CafePress. Photos were submitted, the layout was set, and… CafePress notifies the site admin that pictures of Ford cars cannot be printed…

Not just Ford logos, not just Mustang logos, the car -as a whole- is a Ford trademark and its image can’t be reproduced without permission. So even though Ford has a lineup of enthusiasts who want to show off their Ford cars, the company is bent on alienating them. ‘Them’ being some of the most loyal owners and future buyers that those schmucks have. Or rather, that they had, because many have decided that they will not be doing business with Ford again if this matter isn’t resolved.

Woman Sues College Because She Can’t Find a Job

A New York City woman has sued her alma mater because she can’t find a job after graduating in April.  Trina Thompson, 27, has filed suit in Bronx Supreme Court on July 24 against Monroe College seeking $70,000 that she spent on tuition.  Thompson says she has been unable to find a job since receiving her bachelor’s degree in information technology in April.  She also claims the school’s Career Advancement Office hasn’t tried hard enough to help her with leads or the advice that it promises.

Monroe College spokesman Gary Axelbank says the lawsuit is without merit and that the college prides itself on the excellent career-development support it provides its students.
